Being Mindful - The Key to Living a Green Lifestyle

Living a green lifestyle does not imply it’s an all (read: Perfect) or nothing endeavor. Oh, quite contrare. Living a more ‘green’, or as I prefer to call it, ’sustainable’ lifestyle simply means being mindful of your choices.

Mindfulness often involves reframing, rethinking and reevaluating how we go about our daily lives. Being mindful means questioning the status quo. It means going beyond black, white and gray solutions. It means the deliberate act of: stop, think, question and decide on a solution that works for you.

The Keurig coffee maker is a single use coffee maker. To make coffee, you simply put one of the prefilled, premeasured plastic coffee k cups (as they’re called) into the machine, close the handle which punctures the plastic, allowing already hot water to flow through and make a great cup of coffee. Alternatively you can also put in a tea bag, which is what I usually do.

How can you justify using a Keurig while trying to live a green lifestyle?
